Rob VanHooren
|
|
This plate is submitted courtesy of Rob VanHoore. As he says in his email,
it pretty much says it all for a dyed-in-the-wool cisco geek eh? fits with
my e-mail addr too ;-) His parting comment: "I don't have a *car* --
I have a 400 horsepower cd-player" heh. |

Suzi Sevcik
|
Registered in May 2000 attached to a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Special
Edition Fire Fighter Plates.
|
Sevcik has worked in the computer/Internet industry since 1995 & I
wanted a plate that reflected both my day job & my work as a volunteer
Fire Fighter. FLAMYN was appropriate as I've been known to send some scathing
emails. Incidentally, I've also had to compete with my brother - Christopher
Knight...who has 2 of his plates listed here...Email It & Pentium. |
 |

xpatriot
|
First registered in May of 2001 by Jaeme Haviland. It's still on a 2000
Dodge Ram Wagon. |
This plate was created to promote Jaeme's website: Tales
From Days On The Road It works pretty well, since eventually people
get extremely curious and ask
him what it stands for! Among regular readers, the van and tag together
have become something of an icon. (This is the second burgundy-colored van
he's owned, but the first to carry the name.) |
 |
~~Jules~~
|
First registered in October of 2001, this plate is now adorning a 2001
Ford Escape. |
Julie's plate was initially registered when she was doing web design
and tech support for an ISP in North Carolina. After a layoff, she kept
the plate, as
she still does design work on a part time basis.

dletoile
|
Contributed by Dennis N. L'Etoile, this plate was issued in 2001. It was
originally worn on a 2000 Xterra; now mounted on a 2002 Chrysler T&C
minivan. |
Dennis's original Virginia tags were NET CRUZ, however, the VA Internet
plate has a 6 character limit, so........NET CRZ was used. The choice was
also
governed by availability of domain name NETCRZ.COM. The plate name also
happens to be his website. |
 |
Megan Conklin
|
Megan got this plate in early 1998 and let it lapse when she totalled
that car in
2001. |
Her license is up for renewal next month so she's going to try to
either get this plate back or get another one. If #!PERL has been taken
by someone else, she'll try for PORT 80 or maybe RM -RF / or if all else
fails MORECORE (a common cry amongst developers for "more memory!")
Her husband owns COREDUMP (for people who don't know what this is, it's
the result of a memory error in unix writes a file to disk containing
the contents of memory at the time of the crash - this file is called
a COREDUMP). |

Contributed by Brian Travis, this vanity plate resides on his 1994
Dodge Dakota.
|
Brian has been involved in the SGML and XML communities since 1985. My
company, Architag International Corp
does XML
training all over the world. I've written a couple of books on XML and web
services, so the license plate seems appropriate. |
